Another 16 months later...

When I was 14 years old, I couldn't wait to turn 16 (so I could go FIRE Disco).

When I was of eligible age to go FIRE, I wished I were 21 instead. So I could openly step into the theatres to watch R(A) movies.

Until then, the clock always seemed to tick extra slowly. Now, time seeps through my fingers like sand in an hourglass.

It didn't hit me that my last blog post was (exactly) 16 months ago! SIXTEEN freakin' months... OMG!

I'm one who does things on impulse spasms. Blogging spasms are back again.

3 Months Later...

No... I didn't stay in HK for 3 mths. Neither did I get lost in HK. It was plain laziness. Guilty!

And I came back to find that my total no. of hits has reached over 10k! Whoa!

Over the course of 3mths (after my 4D3N HK trip), many things happened in my life...

1. April 1st weekend: Warner-Chappell Taiwan invited me to a Warner songwriters music sharing session in KL, and I got upclose and personal with some of the most talented Warner Music songwriters from Singapore, Malaysia and Taiwan, who have written pop Mandarin songs like 人质、平常心、我要快乐、黑白化映、一公尺、爱无力、答案、随堂测验、魅力燃烧、我的爱、眼泪成诗、原点、 and many many more......
2. April 2nd week: In Bangkok with 3 guy friends, and shopped till we dropped!
   
3. Amber got in as one of the top 18 bands in SuperBand (a new competition, following Project Superstar, Campus Superstar & SuperHost, initiated by Channel U)
4. I stood in for Junli as wubbie for some of SuperBand episodes, and befriended the other SuperBand contestants.
5. May: Attended 11th COMPASS Awards Presentation, where I met Stefanie Sun, JJ Lin, Dick Lee, Joi Chua, and a whole bunch of songwriters & music publishers.
   
6. I began a weekly affair with MJ.
   
7. ......

Wait for me... HK!!!

Bwahahahahaha... 17 more hours and I'll be on my way to Hong Kong!!!

My V-Day SMS

Weixiong is really a sweetie. On V-Day, I received an sms from him.

Dear Kitty.. May u find true love soon and start celebrating Vday happily with ur loved one. Dun rush.. Be patient and wait for your Mr Right :)

Aaawww... he's such a darling! It planted a big smile on my face that instant.

A while later, it got me thinking. There could be 2 reasons why he wrote that message to me in particular.

1. As a good friend, he's showing concern for me. I'm a nice enough girl who deserves a nice enough guy.
2. I've been bugging him too much that he wished for me to have a boyfriend so I can divert my attention to the boyfriend.

It's definitely the first reason. Period.

In his sms, there are 2 taboo words that you can hardly find in Kitty's Dictionary of Love...

"True Love"

I'm a skeptical person. Maybe it does exist (rarely) but I don't believe it'll happen to me. To begin with, I think I'm one with committment phobia, let alone finding Mr Right. I don't think I've ever given my whole heart to anyone before. In the past, whenever there's room for me to take a step further in a relationship, I back out, and place myself in closure.

*Shrugs* I don't know why.

I've had enough of people telling me, "It's because HE hasn't appeared yet. HE'll appear sooner or later. I'm sure."

In my opinion, you folks are saying this for the sake of consoling me. Not that I don't appreciate it. Thanks, but I don't quite buy that saying.

In any case, I'm not desperate. I enjoy being single. I earn enough to support myself. I can spend my money in whatever way I like. I have SuperFriends around me.

I don't need men. I can always get a vibrator.

A Birthday SMS To Goddess

An ex-colleague turns 31 today.

This was my birthday sms to her:

Happy Birthday! When are you getting an ang mo boyfriend?

(Explain: She's slim, has tanned skin, and long black straight hair... Very SPG...)

And this was what she replied:
